Lossless attempts an exact decoded-pixel rewrite. Balanced and Smallest file may change visual detail, and Smart resize is optional.

- A quick search for smaller files with good visual detail. Some quality loss is possible.
- Lossless
- Preserves decoded pixels and dimensions. JPEG and GIF remain unchanged. Other formats are rewritten only when exact checks pass; otherwise TinyImage keeps the original.
- Smallest file
- Tries more encodings and may reduce quality further. It can take longer. Compare the result before replacing your source.
Smart resize is optional and can reduce dimensions. Lossless keeps original dimensions. If a suitable compressed file is not smaller, TinyImage returns the original.

Why did my compressed WebP stay the same size?
An already-optimized image may not have a smaller suitable encoding. TinyImage keeps the original when the same-format candidate is not smaller; zero savings does not necessarily mean a failure.
